Frank KarlitschekCEO, NextCloud

Frank Karlitschek is a long time open source contributor and former board member of the KDE e.V. He managed engineering teams for over 20 years and worked as head of unit and managing director at different internet companies. In 2001 he founded the openDesktop.org social network for Linux Desktop users. In 2010 he started the ownCloud project. In 2016 he forked it into Nextcloud to create a fully open source and decentralized alternative to big centralized cloud companies. Frank has spoken at MIT, CERN and ETH and keynoted LinuxCon, Latinoware, Akademy, FOSSASIA, openSUSE Conf, Campus Party and many other conferences. Frank is the founder and CEO of Nextcloud GmbH. He is also a fellow of Open Forum Europe.

Amanda BrockCEO, Trustable

Amanda is the CEO of Trustable Software, www.trustable.io and joint organiser of the UK Open Source Awards, having been a judge of the awards in 2014 and 2015. Trustable Software is a new initiative looking at risk and transparency in Software. 
She was General Counsel of Canonical, setting up the global legal team and running this for 5 years and has worked in a variety of sectors, ranging from Fashion to Fintech, across EMEA, US, AsiaPac and Emerging Markets, based out of the UK and Amsterdam. 
As well as many years of structuring and negotiating a multitude of deals, her roles have included contribution to and leadership of a number multi-organisational collaborative projects and open source initiatives. She has exerptise in open source software, governance, IP, compliance audits, policies and processes as well as commercialisation and contracting around open source.  Amanda was a member of the Open Stack Drafting Committee in 2012.
Amanda is a regular international speaker and author covering technology, collaboration and legal issues. 
As well as her role at Trustable, Amanda is currently a European Representative of the defensive patent pool, the Open Invention Network; a Director of Open UK; an Executive Editor and Founder of the International Free and Open Source Law Review; on the OASIS Open Projects' Advisory Council (open source and open standards); and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

She originally joined OFE in 2007 and served for several years as Director with responsibility for government relations. She returned with her family to Brussels after spending five years in California to take on the role of CEO when Graham Taylor retired in 2016. Prior to OFE, Sachiko worked for several years in public affairs, first in London and then in Brussels. With degrees in Political Science from the University of Toronto and the London School of Economics, she has been a guest researcher at UC Berkeley and is currently continuing her research at TU Delft where she takes an interest in the social and political implications of technological change. She is a regular speaker at international conferences and has published on the topic of ICT standards and the environment.
